Membership Requirements / Responsibilities

  • Membership Dues:
    $10.00 per concert series
    or
    $20.00 per year (Sept. 1 through Aug. 31)
    Dues are payable at the beginning of each session
    or at the beginning of each season (year).
  • Music:
    All music is either owned by the Alpine Orchestra or borrowed or rented from other organizations. All music should be well cared-for and returned to librarians promptly after concerts.
  • Concert Dress:
    Summer - Black slacks or skirts White shirts or blouses
    Wintert/Spring - Ladies - all black (dresses, skirts and blouses, or slacks and blouses) Gentlemen - Black slacks and jackets, White shirts, black bow ties)
  • Attendance Policy:
    No more than three rehearsals may be missed in any concert series unless caused by the following:
    1. Illness
    2. Work/School
    3. Family/Church Responsibilities
    Attendance at dress rehearsals and all concerts is mandatory. If you are unable to attend a rehearsal, please notify a board member or the conductor.
  • Student Policy:
    Must be High School age (exception - string players) Must be recommended by music teacher, orchestra member, or conductor, with Board approval. (May be required to audltion.) Must adhere to all policies and responsibilities of Alpine Orchestra membership (i.e. - dues, attendance, music care, concert dress, etc.)
  • Additional Requirements:
    Each member is responsible for providing their own
    instruments (exception - large percussion), music stand, and transportation to all rehearsals, concerts and meetings.
